NAGA IKE NISHI & HIGASHI : 3,234 kWp

Naga Ike Nishi – 1,078 kWp | Naga Ike Higashi –  2,156 kWp

Located in the prefecture of Hyogo, Japan, this project is composed of 2 separate floating islands, each having respectively a capacity of 1,078 kWp and 2,156 kWp. The both floating PV power plants are installed next to each other on irrigation reservoirs and equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology. The full system counts 12,936 floating solar panels of 60 cells (250W REC standard modules).

For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:

  • Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in Japan) and design of the floating platform
  • Design of the anchoring solution

 

The both floating solar power plants have been operational since respectively March 2016 and November 2016 to generate green electricity to the local grid.

  • Naga Ike Nishi

With a capacity of 1,078 kWp, the total structure covers 19% of the pond’s water surface which the area is equal to 62,800 m² (6 ha). The floating platform is anchored on the bottom of the pond, and the anchoring system has been designed to meet a maximum 4.8 m depth and a same water level variation (4.8 m, as the pond can be affected by drought).

  • Naga Ike Higashi

With a capacity of 2,156 kWp, the total structure covers 10% of the pond’s water surface which the area is equal to 247,303 m² (25 ha). The floating platform is anchored on the bottom of the pond, and the anchoring system has been designed to meet a maximum 4.9 m depth and a same water level variation (48.9 m, as the pond can be affected by drought).

  • Naga Ike Nishi
