YASUGI IKE: 1,098 kWp
Located in the prefecture of Shimane, Japan, this 1,098 kWp floating solar construction is built on an irrigation reservoir with an area of 56,400 m² (5.6 ha).
The platform is equipped with Classic version of Hydrelio® technology and supports 4,480 floating solar panels of 60 cells (245W KYOCERA standard modules). The total structure covers 22% of the water surface.
For this project, Ciel & Terre supervised the engineering of the floating PV system. Our scope included:
- Supply of our Hydrelio® (made in France) and design of the floating platform
- Design of the anchoring solution
Anchored at the bottom of the pond, the anchoring solution has been designed to meet a maximum 2.4 m depth and a same water level variation (2.4 m, as the pond can be affected by drought).
Yasugi’s floating solar installation has been operational since November 2014 and generates green electricity to the local grid.
